VATICAN CITY — Pope Francis announced today that the Catholic Church will install separate confessional booths for those who wish to confess their sins but are unvaccinated. “We must follow the world on this and be a leader,” said Pope Francis. “We are called to love all people but the church has to draw the line somewhere. Vaccination is of the utmost importance in order to worship God.”

When asked if this was just for the COVID vaccine or if it would extend to other vaccines the Pope only responded with, “We must have tolerance for everyone and everything.”

One parishioner visiting the Vatican City had this to say. “I think it’s good. If people get vaccinated then the Pope will spend less time having to pray for the sickness. “

ARTICLE UPDATE: Since this article was first published the Catholic Church added to the announcement that a parishioner may pay extra above any regular giving to be excused from using the unvaccinated confessional booth.
